With just one rankings period left before playoffs, the margins are razor thin across College Hockey South. The Women’s, M2, and ACDC divisions are set — but Men’s Division 3 still has unfinished business as teams fight for seeding and survival.

Here’s where things stand as the CHS postseason looms.

Women’s Division

The playoff field is officially set.

Key matchups from the final weekend locked in the eight teams that will compete for this year’s CHS championship, setting the stage for what promises to be a highly competitive postseason.

The final seedings are as follows:

North Division

N1 – Alabama

N2 – South Carolina

N3 – Clemson

W2 – Georgia

South Division

S1 – Tampa

S2 – Florida

S3 – South Florida

W1 – Auburn

Friday night’s opening-round matchups will feature:

Alabama vs. Auburn

Tampa vs. Georgia

South Carolina vs. South Florida

Florida vs. Clemson

Playoff game times will be announced soon.

Men’s Division 2

There has been no love lost between these three teams all season. With back-and-forth battles and a split season series, the M2 playoffs are shaping up to be nothing short of a nail-biter.

Before CHS playoff puck drops, all three programs will shift their focus to the national stage, traveling to Cincinnati from February 20–22 for the M2 Southeast Regionals. To punch a ticket to St. Louis and the ACHA National Tournament, teams must win two games at Regionals—no small task, as only four of the 16 qualifying teams will advance.

So what will the CHS playoffs become? A final tune-up before the national spotlight, or one last chance for seniors to chase history and see their school’s name etched on the Ameritrans Cup once more?

Men’s Division 3

Who will claim the final spot?

Will Miami hang on with no games remaining on its schedule? Can Vanderbilt’s statement win over Clemson be enough to vault the Commodores back into the field with two critical matchups against Tennessee still ahead? Or will Lynn make one final leap after two decisive wins over Miami this weekend?

It’s all coming down to the wire, with just one weekend of games remaining before the postseason picture is locked in.

The top 12 teams in Division 3 will advance to the postseason, with standings determined by ACHA rankings. The final rankings used for playoff seeding will be released Friday, February 20.

Men’s ACDC

The stage is officially set for the ACDC Division.

Only one key weekend series remains: Florida Tech vs. Embry-Riddle. That matchup will finalize the bracket, with the winner earning a first-round meeting against Florida State and the loser set to face South Florida.

Playoff game times will be announced soon.

CHS Playoffs Are Almost Here

The 2026 College Hockey South Playoffs are right around the corner, running February 26 through March 1 at the Panthers IceDen in Coral Springs, Florida. A total of 29 teams will compete across 35 games in four days, making this the largest postseason event in conference history — a true “mini nationals” atmosphere.

Single-day tickets and weekend passes are available now, and all games will be streamed live on the College Hockey South YouTube channel.

Looking Ahead: CHS Prospect Showcase

College Hockey South is also gearing up for its second annual Prospect Showcase, returning this summer after a highly successful inaugural event. The showcase provides prospective student-athletes with competitive exposure, direct interaction with CHS coaches, and an inside look at the collegiate club hockey experience.
