College Hockey South to Host 2026 Prospect Showcase in Nashville

NASHVILLE, Tenn. — College Hockey South (CHS), in partnership with Verbero Hockey, is proud to announce the 2026 CHS Prospect Showcase, returning to Nashville, Tennessee, for its second consecutive summer after a highly successful inaugural event.

The three-day showcase will take place July 17–19, 2026, and is designed to inform, educate, and connect prospective men’s and women’s student-athletes—and their families—with College Hockey South programs and coaching staffs.

Building on the momentum of its debut year, the Prospect Showcase continues to serve as a premier opportunity for players looking to extend their hockey careers at the collegiate level. The event combines high-level competition with direct exposure to CHS coaches, along with valuable insight into the college hockey experience.

The Showcase is open to high school and junior hockey players born between 2005 and 2010, with each participant guaranteed four competitive games over the weekend. CHS coaches will be actively involved throughout the event, coaching from the benches and interacting with prospects both on and off the ice.

A central component of the weekend will once again be the educational seminar, held on the second day of the event. Players and families will have the opportunity to learn more about College Hockey South, meet conference coaches, and gain a deeper understanding of CHS member universities, recruiting pathways, and life as a collegiate club hockey player.

Thanks to CHS’s continued partnership with Verbero Hockey, every participating athlete will receive premium gear, enhancing the on-ice and off-ice experience throughout the weekend.

“Verbero is honored to continue our partnership with College Hockey South for the Prospect Showcase,” said Andy Sutton, Owner of Verbero and former NHL defenseman. “After seeing the impact this event had in its first year, we’re excited to build on that success and provide another elite platform for players to showcase their abilities and take the next step in their hockey journey.”

CHS Commissioner Kyle Knell highlighted the importance of the event’s return:

“The response to our first Prospect Showcase exceeded every expectation we had,” Knell said. “Players, families, and coaches all walked away feeling that this was a meaningful and well-run event. Bringing it back for a second year allows us to continue strengthening the recruiting pipeline in the South and reinforces our commitment to growing both men’s and women’s college hockey at a high level.”
