As we approach the end of the first half of the season, the action in College Hockey South isn’t slowing down—if anything, it’s heating up. Rivalries, revenge games, playoff positioning, and national implications all headline a packed Week 12 slate. It all begins with our Game of the Week.

Game of the Week: Farmingdale State Rams (M2) at University of Tampa Spartans (M2)

If you followed College Hockey in any capacity last season, you can understand why this is the Game of the Week. Last season, the Tampa Spartans defeated the Rams to secure the 2025 AAU Division 1 National Championship title, winning 5-2.

Farmingdale makes the trip to Clearwater Ice Arena, looking for revenge after suffering heartbreak last season. The Spartans are ranked No. 2 in the Southeast region, and the Rams are ranked No. 2 in the Northeast. Both teams have seen similar success this season, with each holding an 11-5 record.

Can the Spartans send the Rams back to New York with a loss, or will Farmingdale get sweet revenge in this National Championship rematch? This is a matchup you won’t want to miss as two of the nation's top teams collide.

  • Friday, Nov. 21  8:30 PM EST (Clearwater Ice Arena)

  • Saturday, Nov. 22  4:00 PM EST (Clearwater Ice Arena)

University of Alabama Frozen Tide (M3) at Florida Gulf Coast University Eagles (M3)

The Frozen Tide makes a trip to southwest Florida for a battle with the Eagles. The Eagles, in their first season as member of College Hockey South, are facing their final CHS opponent for the season. The Frozen Tide is looking to turn its season around after a rough start against some of CHS's top teams.

The Eagles are looking to defend the nest, on a six-game win streak heading into this matchup. The Frozen Tide are coming off a revenge series against Kennesaw State, who knocked them into the third-place game at the Veterans Cup.

The Frozen Tide sit just inside the Playoffs according to the ACHA rankings, and a win over FGCU would provide much-needed security. Can Alabama get back to its winning ways and end the Eagles' win streak on the road?

  • Friday, Nov. 21  6:00 PM EST (Hertz Arena)

  • Saturday, Nov. 12 8:30 PM EST (Hertz Arena)

University of Tennessee Ice Vols (M2) @ University of Florida Gators (M2)

The No. 5 (Southeast Region) Ice Vols will return to the site of a loss to the No. 13 Gators that they suffered at AAU Nationals last season. The Gators pulled off the upset after suffering a loss last season to Tennessee at the Savannah Classic.

The Gators return home after a successful road trip against Ole Miss, while the Ice Vols are looking to get back on track after getting swept by Fairfield University in their last series. You can always expect fireworks when these teams take the ice.

  • Friday, Nov. 21 7:00 P.M. EST (Community First Igloo)

  • Sunday, Nov. 23 1:45 P.M. EST (Community First Igloo)

University of New Hampshire Wildcats (W2) at University of Tampa Spartans (W2)

The Spartans’ move to the ACHA introduced a new competition pool. Tampa will face its second non-CHS team of the season when the Wildcats come to town. New Hampshire has struggled to find wins this season, whereas the Lady Spartans keep filling up the win column.

New Hampshire clocked in at number 10 in the initial W2 Northeast Region rankings, while the Lady Spartans are unranked in the Southeast Region due to Nationals ineligibility.

Will the Wildcats be able to take down the Lady Spartans in their first CHS matchup, or will the Lady Spartans continue to roll in what has been a dominant season?
