We’re through one week of hockey, and there were many noteworthy performances to start the season—goals, assists, and saves aplenty, oh my! However, three players stood out more than the rest and got their season off to a satisfying start.
Our three stars come from the same team, and with good reason. The Middle Tennessee State Blue Raiders lit up the scoreboard with 18(!) goals in their two-game set against Appalachian State. The Blue Raiders won the first game 10-4 and the second game 8-5 to sweep their first season series.
3rd Star: (LW) Matthew Siciliano- 3 goals, 4 assists, 7 points in 2 Games
2nd Star: (C) Brendan Ogle- 3 goals, 5 assists, 8 points in 2 Games
1st Star: (RW) Ethan Demumbrum- 4 goals, 4 assists, 8 points, in 2 Games
It’ll be hard for Middle Tennessee State to keep up this pace, but it’s a good start nonetheless.
