
As the regular season rapidly draws towards its conclusion, let’s take a look at each division’s top performers of last month.

Women's Division
First Star: (G) Stephanie Xhumba, Auburn University - 1.87 goals against average, 0.97 save percentage, 3 shutouts in 5 games
With three shutouts and four wins in her last five games, Auburn’s Stephanie Xhumba has been an integral part of the Tigers’ success this season.
In her team’s 3-1 win over South Florida on Jan. 24, Xhumba stopped 59/60 shots from the Bulls to ensure Auburn’s victory.
Second Star: (C) Gabriella Donato, Auburn University - 10 goals, 7 assists, 17 points in 5 games
January’s second star hails from the same roster as its first. Auburn’s Gabriella Donato collected 17 points (10G, 7A) in her last five contests, making her the Tigers’ leading point scorer — and third in the CHS — with 37 points (24G, 13A) in 14 games.
Donato’s most notable performance last month was her six-point night against the Georgia Southern Eagles; she tallied three goals and three assists in Auburn’s 10-0 win on Jan. 26.
Third Star: (C) Paige Oukes, University of Georgia - 13 goals, 2 assists, 15 points in 5 games
The third star of January is the CHS’s women’s division points leader: Georgia’s Paige Oukes. Propelled by Oukes, the Bulldogs collected five wins in their last six games.
Oukes recorded five goals — three goals in the first period and one in each of the following two — in Georgia’s 9-0 win over her former team, Georgia Southern, on Jan. 11.

Division 1
1st Star: (G) Tyler Temoyan, University of South Carolina - 1.34 goals against average, 0.95 save percentage, 1 shutout in 3 games
In January, South Carolina goaltender Tyler Temoyan helped his team pick up two significant wins against American Collegiate Hockey Association (ACHA) teams: Boston College and Alabama.
Temoyan shone in South Carolina’s 7-0 victory over Alabama (ACHA M1) last Friday, Jan. 31, blocking 28/28 shots from the Frozen Tide in his first shutout of the 2024-25 campaign.
2nd Star: (C) Declan Conway, University of Georgia - 4 goals, 8 assists, 12 points in 6 games
Declan Conway led the way for the Georgia Ice Dawgs in January, as they came out on top in five of their six contests last month.
Beginning with a 9-0 win over Georgia Tech at the Savannah Hockey Classic on Jan. 17, Conway averaged two points per game in the first month of the year, his most significant contribution being a four-point performance (2G, 2A) against the Farmingdale State Rams on Jan. 31.
3rd Star: (RW) Evan Parente, University of Georgia - 3 goals, 9 assists, 12 points in 6 games
Much like Conway, the Division 1 third star also aided Georgia’s impressive six-game slate last month with an average of two points per game.
Evan Parente — the Ice Dawgs’ second-leading point scorer this season — collected three goals and nine assists last month, including a four-point (1G, 3A) performance against the Farmingdale State Rams on Jan. 31.

Division 2
1st Star: (F) Christian Cotter, Florida Atlantic University - 6 goals, 9 assists, 15 points in 5 games
Florida Atlantic’s Christian Cotter collected 15 points (6G, 9A) in five games last month, leading his team to an undefeated record so far this semester.
Cotter tallied five points (4G, 1A) in the Owls’ dominant 18-2 win over Lynn on Jan. 25.
2nd Star: (F) Hunter Litman, Florida Atlantic University - 9 goals, 5 assists, 14 points in 5 games
With 28 points (13G, 15A) in 17 games, it’s undeniable that Hunter Litman has been an essential force for the Owls this season. This month was no different; in January, he tallied 14 points (9G, 5A) in just 5 games.
Litman was also named College Hockey South’s third star of Week 14 for his eight-point performance (7G, 1A) in two games against the Florida Southern Moccasins on Jan. 17 and 18.
3rd Star: (C) Elian Estulin, University of Miami - 6 goals, 6 assists, 12 points in 5 games
Miami’s leading point scorer, Elian Estulin, posted six goals and six assists in five games last month to prove exactly why he holds his title.
His most noteworthy performance in January was a four-point game against Lynn on Jan. 12. Estulin potted three goals and assisted Thomas Ferry II’s goal to propel Miami to its eventual 8-4 win.

Division 3
1st Star: (F) Christian Cuccia, Florida Atlantic University - 10 goals, 14 assists, 24 points in 7 games
Florida Atlantic’s Christian Cuccia leads his team in points by a significant margin of 16 points, recording 55 (20G, 35A) in just 18 games this season. The forward collected almost half of his points in January, tallying 10 goals and 14 assists in seven games this semester.
Cuccia had an incredible 10-point performance against the Miami Hurricanes on Jan. 24, collecting three goals and seven assists in the Owls’ 13-3 win.
2nd Star: (G) Matthew Silliman, Florida State University - 1.67 goals against average, 0.94 save percentage in 3 games
In three games last month, Florida State goaltender Matthew Silliman excelled; he faced 89 shots and allowed just five total goals.
With Silliman in net, Florida State collected three wins by a margin of at least three goals: 8-2 against Florida Atlantic (31 shots against) on Jan. 10, 7-1 against Florida Atlantic (36 shots against) on Jan. 11, and 5-2 against Embry-Riddle (22 shots against) on Jan. 31.
3rd Star: (F) Owen Ferenc, University of Florida - 4 goals, 9 assists, 13 points in 5 games
The Division 3 third star of the month, Florida’s Owen Ferenc, collected four goals and nine assists in five games for an average of 2.6 points per game to open the Gators’ spring semester slate.
Ferenc’s most notable performance was a four-point affair in Florida’s 5-4 win over the Florida Tech Panthers on Jan. 18. The forward posted an assist on every goal but one to aid his team’s sweep of the Panthers.
