It’s Week 11 in College Hockey South, and action is heating up across the conference. Rivalries are reignited, divisional races are tightening, and several first-time matchups headline a jam-packed weekend of hockey.

Game of the Week: Clemson (M3) at Florida Atlantic (M3)

This week’s spotlight shines on Boca Raton, where the Clemson Tigers travel south to face the Florida Atlantic Owls in CHS’s Game of the Week. Both teams are hungry to climb the standings and gain momentum as the first semester winds down.

Clemson enters the series with an even conference record and six CHS points. The Tigers are coming off a split weekend against USF, highlighted by a dominant 6–3 win before falling just short, 7–6, in the rematch. A series win over FAU would push Clemson further into playoff contention.

Florida Atlantic, meanwhile, is searching for a spark. The Owls remain winless in November and have been outscored 30–11 this month. A win this weekend would give FAU its first divisional victory since early October — and a much-needed confidence boost heading into the winter break.

USF (W) at Florida (W)

In the Sunshine State, the Florida Gators head west to face the South Florida Bulls in a pivotal women’s division matchup. The two teams are neck and neck in the South Division standings, both chasing powerhouse Tampa for the top spot.

Florida enters the weekend riding a three-game win streak, powered by an explosive offense averaging over seven goals per game during that span. The Gators are focused on tightening their grip on second place and inching closer to the division lead.

USF, however, has the upper hand in the series so far. The Bulls took the first meeting, 6–2, back in October and currently sit second in the standings with eight CHS points. With home ice and momentum on their side, South Florida will look to stay unbeaten against the Gators this season.

  • Saturday, Nov. 15 4:45 PM EST (Advent Health Center Ice)

Notre Dame (M3) at Florida Gulf Coast (M3)

For the first time ever, a College Hockey South team will face off against Notre Dame, as Florida Gulf Coast hosts the Fighting Irish in Fort Myers.

FGCU has been in fine form in out-of-conference play, rebounding from two early losses to Nebraska–Omaha with a dominant four-game win streak against West Virginia and New Hampshire. The Eagles’ defense has been exceptional, allowing just five goals across those four contests.

This historic matchup gives FGCU another chance to test itself against a top non-conference opponent — and continue building momentum before returning to CHS play.

USF (M3) vs Tampa (M2)

Rivalry Week continues in the Bay Area as the Battle of Tampa returns — this time in a cross-division showdown between USF’s M3 squad and Tampa’s M2 team.

The Bulls enter the weekend red-hot, riding a five-game win streak that includes a sweep of Tampa’s M3 team. South Florida’s offense has been on fire, piling up 24 goals in a two-game series against Miami last week.

Tampa’s M2 team, meanwhile, returns home after a successful out-of-conference trip to Connecticut, where they swept Fairfield and Quinnipiac. The Spartans allowed just eight goals across those three games and will look to earn their first CHS win since late October.

  • Friday, Nov. 14 6:00 PM EST (Clearwater Ice Arena)

  • Saturday, Nov. 15  7:30 PM EST (Advent Health Center Ice)

Lynn (M3) at Florida Southern (M3)

Rounding out the weekend, the Sunshine State Showdown continues in Lakeland as Lynn travels to face Florida Southern.

Lynn is riding high after a statement 6–3 victory in the Battle for Boca against archrival Florida Atlantic — the Fighting Knights’ first win since September. The upset has given new life to the Knights, who look to carry that momentum into Lakeland and close out the fall semester on a high note.

Florida Southern, meanwhile, is eager to bounce back from a narrow 4–3 overtime loss to Florida (ACDC). Prior to that defeat, the Mocs picked up two tight wins over Jacksonville (ACDC). A win this weekend would mark their first conference victory of the season and provide a strong foundation heading into the second half of the campaign.
