College Hockey South Division Standings (Post Week 9)

Women’s Division

The defending conference champions finally got their season underway this weekend!

The Tampa Lady Spartans outscored Miami by 18 across two games to pick up their first wins of the season in emphatic fashion. With four points, Tampa has pulled into a tie for third place with South Carolina.

The top six teams in the standings advance to the Women’s Division Playoffs.

Division 1

Only two Division 1 teams were in action this weekend, the battle of the behemoths between South Carolina and Tampa in the Palmetto state. Tampa secured three out of four possible points against the Gamecocks, moving into a tie for third place with Tennessee.

South Carolina picked up a point in Sunday's 4-4 tie, extending its conference lead over Georgia to two points.

The top six teams in the standings advance to the Division 1 playoffs.

Division 2

Middle Tennessee State took over first place in the North Division with a sweep of Alabama-Huntsville. The Blue Raiders' point total increased to eight, while Vanderbilt, the previous top spot holder, was idle.

Division 2’s South Division saw the most movement after this weekend.

After a dominant sweep over second-placed Lynn University, the South Florida Bulls pushed their division lead to 19 points.

Florida Atlantic tied Lynn for second place with two wins over Embry-Riddle. Florida Southern and Tampa each picked up a regulation win, putting them in fourth and fifth place in the South Division.

The top four teams in each division advance to the Division 2 playoffs.

Division 3

Kennesaw State and Alabama were the lone teams in the North Division to collect points this weekend, each team banking four.

Alabama climbs into third place behind only Georgia and Tennessee. Kennesaw State scored their first division wins of the season, moving them out of last place but still out of the playoff picture.

On Friday, Florida Atlantic’s win over Embry Riddle tied them with Florida for second place in the South Division. Miami’s win Friday against South Florida moved them into the final playoff position.

The top five teams in each division advance to the Division 3 playoffs.
