Women’s Division
The Women’s Division was inactive during Week 16, the weekend before the Conference playoffs.
The playoff field was secured last week when South Carolina nailed down the final spot. The field includes Tampa, Alabama, South Florida, South Carolina, Auburn, and Georgia.
The postseason begins Friday, February 7th, at 2:30 P.M. EST when South Florida takes on the hometown Georgia Ice Dawgs in the first quarterfinal game. The second quarterfinal will be at 4:00 P.M. EST, with South Carolina facing Auburn.
The top two seeds, Tampa and Alabama, received byes to the semifinals.
The playoffs will take place from February 7-9, 2025, at the Akins Ford Arena in Athens, GA. For more information, visit 2025 Women’s Division Playoffs.

Division 1
Florida was the lone playoff-bound Division 1 team not in action in Week 16, as they prepared for a quarterfinal matchup against South Carolina. The Gamecocks won a pair of games against Alabama’s ACHA (Not CHS affiliated) squad, getting them back in the win column after losing twice to Georgia last week.
Week 16 featured a playoff preview between the Tampa Spartans and Alabama Frozen Tide. The back-to-back conference champion Spartans won a trio of games on Alabama’s home ice to lock down the number three seed and ensure a quarterfinal game against the sixth-seeded Frozen Tide.
Georgia clinched the number one seed last weekend and will host the playoffs in Athens, GA, at Akins Ford Arena. The Ice Dawgs received a bye to the semifinals, along with Tennessee.

Division 2
Clemson’s sprint through January worked out as well as they could have imagined, winning seven of eight games, all interdivisional, and clinched a spot in the Division 2 playoffs. The Tigers tied the suddenly struggling Middle Tennessee State Blue Raiders for first in the North Division.
Arguably, the biggest winners of Week 16 are the Division 2 Tampa Spartans. The Spartans have picked up points in their last four division games, winning three, including two wins against another bubble team in UCF. The University of Tampa joins Georgia and South Carolina as the only schools with three teams in the College Hockey South playoffs.
With three weeks to go, three playoff spots are still up for grabs. One in the South Division and two in the North Division. Currently, those positions are held by Ole Miss, Georgia Tech, and Lynn University. But plenty of games left on the calendar can change things dramatically.
The top four teams from each division will advance to the Division 2 playoffs, which will take place February 21-23, 2025, at the Panthers IceDen in Coral Springs, FL. For more details, visit 2025 Division 2 Playoffs.
Division 3
The five North Division teams have been set in stone, but the seeding could still be shifted. One thing for sure is South Carolina will be the number one seed out of the North. The Gamecocks bested Tennessee a couple of times in Week 16 to lock down the top position heading into the postseason.
The bubble in the South Division has shrunk by two positions after Week 16, with the Florida Gators and Florida Tech Panthers punching their tickets to the postseason. The South's top seed will be Florida Atlantic or Florida State. Only one spot remains in the South Division, and three teams are within a point of each other. The fifth spot is currently held by defending conference champion Miami.
The top five teams from each division will advance to the Division 3 playoffs, taking place February 20-23, 2025, at the Panthers IceDen in Coral Springs, FL. For more information, visit 2025 Division 3 Playoffs.
