College Hockey South Division Standings (Post Week 13)

Danny Baum

Women’s Division

The Tampa Lady Spartans pulled into a tie for second place after a win against Tampa area rival South Florida. The Lady Spartan’s 3-1 win came back on Dec. 7th, putting them at a perfect 6-0-0 on the season.

The Georgia Ice Dawgs picked up two points with a 9-0 win over Georgia Southern, tying Auburn with eight points on the season. Having played their 10 divisional games, Georgia will now wait and see if their 8 points will be sufficient enough to play in front of a home crowd in Athens at playoffs.

The top six teams in the standings advance to the Women’s Division playoffs.

Division 1

No College Hockey South Division 1 teams were in action in Week 13.

The six playoff teams in playoff spots entering 2025 are Georgia, Tennessee, South Carolina, Tampa, Florida, and Alabama.

With one game against Alabama and two against Tennessee on the horizon, Auburn is not out of the hunt just yet.

Division 2

Clemson won their first two games of the season in Week 13, tying them with Ole Miss with four points. The Tigers dominated Alabama-Huntsville twice, who has yet to win a game this season. Despite being inactive for the fall semester, a playoff spot is well within reach for Clemson.

Miami picked up a massive victory over the Lynn Fighting Knights, pulling the Hurricanes into a tie with Florida Southern, inching closer to the final playoff spot in the South Division. The top two teams in the South Division (South Florida and Florida Atlantic) did not play divisional games in Week 13.

The Seminoles bullied their way to sweep by a combined score of 15-3, vaulting them into the top spot for the first time this season.
