Big-time debuts and statement performances defined Week 2 in CHS.

1st Star: (F) Will Marshall, Florida Southern (M3) – 5 Goals, 5 Points in 1 Game Played

What a debut.

In his first appearance of the season, Will Marshall exploded for five goals in Florida Southern’s commanding 10-2 victory over the University of Florida. Marshall’s scoring touch turned the game into a rout and immediately established him as one of the premier offensive threats in CHS this season.

2nd Star: (D) Tommy Chunchukov, Middle Tennessee State (M3) – 1 Goal, 5 Assists, 6 Points in 2 Games Played

The Blue Raiders’ blue line got a big boost from Tommy Chunchukov, who was everywhere on the scoresheet this weekend. The defenseman tallied one goal and five assists for six points across MTSU’s sweep of Clemson, a 5-0 shutout and a 9-4 win. Chunchukov’s playmaking ability set the tone as MTSU reminded the division why they’re the defending champs.

3rd Star: (F) Sam Watson, Florida Atlantic (M3) – 2 Goals, 4 Assists, 6 Points in 2 Games Played

Sam Watson wasted no time making an impact in his season debut. The forward collected two goals and four assists for six points in FAU’s pair of wins over Miami. Watson posted three points in each game, including the overtime thriller that gave the Owls a 5-4 victory after a 7-4 win the night before.

Congratulations to Will Marshall, Tommy Chunchukov, and Sam Watson for earning honors as College Hockey South’s three stars of Week 2!
