College Hockey South returns to Huntsville for Ameritrans Cup

HUNTSVILLE – College Hockey South (CHS) will host its annual Division 2 playoffs at the Huntsville Ice Sports Center Feb. 16 through 18.

The tournament will feature eight D2 teams from the Southeast. With the support of Ameritrans and the Huntsville Sports Commission, CHS is excited to bring its teams back to Huntsville for more highly competitive matchups. Quarterfinal games will take place on Feb. 16, with the semifinals coming on Feb. 17 and the championship on Feb. 18.

CHS will host the tournament at the Huntsville Ice Sports Center, 3185 Leeman Ferry Rd SW, Huntsville, AL 35801. Players and staff will be made available for interviews throughout the tournament. Guest tickets start at $15 dollars, and a pass to all games can be purchased for $30 dollars.

The commissioner of College Hockey South, Kyle Knell, is looking forward to an action-packed weekend.

We're expecting 10 highly competition and close games,” Knell said. “Year after year teams are becoming more and more competitive making for even more exciting tournaments. This year could truly be a toss-up on who takes home the trophy.”

Tickets for the event can be purchased here or at the arena.
